The UW Department of Math is ranked #14 in the world and #7 in the nation, by the Academic Ranking of World Universities.
It teaches 10% of all of the courses in the College of L&S. In fact, we teach almost as many as some other entire colleges!
We have 53 faculty, 8 affiliate faculty, 22 postdoctoral positions, and 17 instructional academic staff.
